Fans Concerned For Randy Jackson Following His Latest Appearance Walking To Kelly Clarkson’s Star Ceremony

Randy Jackson is a music and television icon beloved by many. The TV personality got his start in music in the mid-80, playing as a session musician for some of the biggest acts in the world. This included Aretha Franklin, Tracy Chapman, Kenny G, Mariah Carey, Madonna, and many more. Jackson’s experience and expertise made him an ideal candidate for the reality singing competition American Idol. Alongside Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson exploded into the pop culture lexicon with his catchphrase, “it’s gonna be a no from me, dawg.”

When the world was first introduced to Jackson, he was a plus-sized man dealing with some health issues. In order to get in better shape, Jackson got weight loss surgery to help him slim down. Randy Jackson has maintained his 100-pound-plus weight loss since undergoing gastric bypass surgery in 2003. Now 65 years old, he still looks slim, but fans are noticing other things that have them concerned.

Recently, Randy Jackson was spotted at an event in Hollywood where he was walking with a cane and being assisted by someone. A fan recorded him and exchanged some pleasantries saying, “See you later, dawg.” The same person let out a concerned “awww,” and they watched him limp away. “HE SAID he will not be defeated 🙌❤️ Pray for him,” said one fan. Another person said, “Not sure what’s going on with him; however, Praying for total healing. But that caption, though. 😒 Wow.” Another person said “I saw him walking out of a store a few weeks ago, and he looked healthy and was walking without assistance. Sending prayers for a speedy recovery.”

Some sites report that concerns over Randy’s health date back a few months as he’s appeared on a few shows this year looking slimmer than usual. Randy appeared on American Idol in May and had fans worried. Those in the know will recall that he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2003 and has a family history of the disease. In 2021, he discussed his weight loss and health journey on an episode of Dr. Oz. It is unclear what has changed or if his issues have escalated in recent months. Prayers to his family.
