Keke Wyatt is known for two things, her gorgeous voice and her ever-expanding family. The mother of 10 is making room for number 11 and made the announcement with a family photo. Long before our brother Nick Cannon became the king of baby-making, Wyatt was putting numbers on the board over the course of her three marriages. Let’s take a look at her baby-making journey as she preps for lucky number 11.
Keke Wyatt was only a teenager when she was introduced to the world. She delivered a pair of duets with fellow R&B singer Avant (“My First Love” & “Nothing in This World”)that quickly established her as a fresh new voice in R&B music. Her impressive voice was also on full display in her iconic cover of Patti LaBelle’s “If Only You Knew.”
Wyatt’s ability to deliver baby-making music crossed over into her personal life as she had her first child with former road manager Rahmat Morton who she met when she was 18. The pair would go on to marry and have three children together, Keyver Wyatt Morton (born March 27, 2000) & Rahjah Ke’ Morton (born February 27, 2002) and daughter Ke’Tarah Victoria Morton (born August 29, 2008). Unfortunately, their union was marred by domestic violence. Wyatt became synonymous with an incident in which she reportedly stabbed Morton with a fork during a fight. She finally filed for divorce in 2009 and relocated her kids to Atlanta, Georgia from Kentucky to get away from him. At the time, Wyatt was pregnant with her fourth child, a baby girl, that, unfortunately, was a stillbirth.
In 2010 Wyatt would enter her most public relationship with ordained minister Michael Jamar Ford. This marriage would coincidence with a career resurgence for Wyatt, who was tapped to star on the reality television show R&B Divas opposite Faith Evans. During her time on the show, Wyatt and Ford welcomed two additional children (Ke’Mar Von Ford born August 16, 2010, & Wyatt Michael Ford born May 17, 2012). Wyatt also adopted Ford’s daughter Mickayla from a previous marriage, bringing their total at the time up to 6.
R&B Divas was canceled in 2014, something Wyatt attributes to her choosing not to return to the show. Following this, she welcomed her 7th and 8th child with Ford (Ke’Yoshi Bella Ford, born in 2015, and Kendal Miguel Ford, born in 2017). Unfortunately, mom and dad had already separated and decided to divorce before Kendal was born. Their split was finalized in August of 2018.
Keke Wyatt loves love, and it did not take her long to find a new beau following her split from Ford. By October of 2018, she had already found new love with a childhood ex-boyfriend named Zackariah Darring. Together she and Darring brought the family total up to 11. She had her 9th child on October 14, 2019, her tenth on January 6th, 2020, and announced #11 on February 20, 2022.
In the happy family picture, Wyatt posed it up with her posse and showed off her latest baby bump. “My husband, Zackariah David Darring, and I are proud to announce that our family will be adding a ‘plus 1’ to the Wyatt Bunch!” she captioned the shot. This was followed by the hashtags #Baby11, #TrustingGod, #BabyDarring, #TheWyattBunch, #Family, and #KekesKids. She made sure to shout out her adopted daughter Kayla who was not present for the shoot. The kids all wore matching shirts that said “Big Brother” or “Big Sister” while dad sported a tee saying, “Here we go again #lastone.” His shirt had an arrow that aimed at Wyatt, who was the only one in black with a loading sign on her dress.
In a separate set of flicks, Wyatt posed it up alone in a flowing red dress with a visible baby bump adorned in symbols. Friends flooded her comments with support, including NeNe Leakes, Trina Braxton, and Avant. “Your fertility is amazing !!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉” said one follower. Keke is currently 39-years-old and released her last single, “All The Way In,” back in 2019. Prior to this, she released a compilation of covers showing off her impressive vocal chops. Keke Covers featured Wyatt’s take on hits from Beyonce, Rihanna, Chris Stapelton, Whitney Houston, and Mary J Blige.
