Keke Palmer Praises Father Of Her Unborn Child: ‘Thank You For Giving Me The Things Only True Unity Can Bring’

Keke Palmer keeps a check, but this weekend she truly checked off some career highs that few can claim. The multi-hyphen superstar took to the Saturday Night Live stage, where she served as the host with musical guest SZA. While there, she announced to the world that she is expecting her first child with partner Darius Daulton Jackson. Palmer took to Instagram shortly after her hosting slot to thank the cast and crew of SNL and gave a special shoutout to her baby daddy as well.

Keke Palmer’s fans have “cast” her in some major roles. They got her a spot on the final season of Insecure; they’ve been pushing to cast her in Marvel as Rogue or Disney as Rapunzel. They also manifested her hosting Saturday Night Live. The funny lady was fully in her element, getting to tap into all her abilities as an actress, singer, comedian, and show woman. She also made Nickelodeon kids’ dreams come true by standing alongside Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell as they paid homage to their iconic ’90s series Kenan and Kel. Keke was also a former Nickelodeon star, so it was a true generation crossover for fans.

In a post commemorating the evening, Palmer said, “I had such an amazing time hosting SNL! Truly such a unique experience, I learned so much. The cast was incredible; I was so happy to be taken into their home for such a short time.” She went on to say that she appreciated the whole team and their dedication to excellence. “Being around so many others that appreciate and put their all into their craft was especially fulfilling.” She also thanked the big bosses over at SNL and NBC for the opportunity. “I thank Steven Higgins and Lorne Michaels for sharing their insight with me; I was soaking up every minute.”

Keke admits that the year has been a “ride” and is thankful that she is able to celebrate it with her baby. “This year has taken me for a ride! And how cool, my baby and I are already doing it all together. Thank you, God! Thank you to my amazing parents and family who continuously support me.” She then turned her attention to her partner and “other half.” “Thank you to my other half, @dvulton, for giving me the things that only true unity can bring. Love is all we have, isn’t it? You do nothing in this world alone and trust me, I am not alone!”

Darius is listed as a writer and storyteller in his IG profile. He does not post many images and seems like a lowkey guy, understandably, if he’s going to be able to handle such a high-energy woman. She recently spoke about going public with their love after keeping things hush for a while. “This is the happiest I’ve ever felt with someone. So why would I go out of my way to hide this person? That’s a lot more work than just living in my life and being in my life.”

Congrats to both Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson. They’ll both make great parents.
