Lamar Odom and Taraji P. Henson Previous Relationship Trending Nearly 13-Years Later

It appears the tabloids were feeling the Throwback Tuesday spirit today and resurfaced an old Lamar Odom interview. The NBA vet is always good for a news story, and it seems like in light of ex-wife Khloe Kardashian’s recent headlines, people decided to drag him back into the spotlight as well. The original Black Kardashian, as he’s called himself, was not here for the rekindled drama and took to his social media to let people know he will not tolerate years-old interviews being dug up for clicks.

During an interview with TVOne’s uncensored in 2019, Lamar Odom opened up about his relationship with Taraji P. Henson back in 2009. In the clip, he recalls Henson being a real source of inspiration and motivation for him on the court. Odom has gone on record, calling their relationship one of the happiest times of his life. Unfortunately, he would go on to leave her for someone else.

According to Odom, he began falling for another woman while dating Henson. Things fell apart because instead of telling Taraji, Lamar just cut her off. “Things ended with Taraji because of me being an immature punk. I didn’t know how to tell her that I was falling in love with another woman.”  In another interview about their relationship with Vlad TV, Odom reveals that the other woman was none other than ex-wife Khloe Kardashian.

When asked what happened, Odom says, “I think I met a young lady named Khloe.” He goes on to say he wishes he had “bossed up” and told Henson instead of just letting it fizzle out.  Odom and Khloe would famously go on to marry a month after meeting. The pair would divorce in 2013 due to issues with infidelity and Odom’s personal issues.

Khloe is in a lot of drama this week as it was revealed that Tristan Thompson had cheated on her yet again. Thompson got a woman pregnant on his birthday hours after Khloe threw him a party. To make matters worst, he’s denied the baby for months, even suing the new mom who gave birth on December 1st, 2021.  Things came to a head yesterday when he took to social media to admit the child was his and apologize to his baby mother Khloe for yet another public embarrassment.  While some fans felt bad for Khloe, others have decided to pull receipts and remind everyone that the reality star has a history of taking men from other women and “this is her karma.” This is why they began circulating the Odom interview.

In a Tweet attached to The Shade Room’s post of the Lamar interview, a fan said, “Taraji has done a really good job of not speaking about him, the least he could’ve done is returned the favor for doing her like this.” They continued, saying, “and Khloe consistently messing with men who are with other women is why i never feel bad bout Tristan cheating on her for the 1000th time.”

Others applauded Henson for never speaking on her relationship with Odom and said she “dodged a bullet” because Odom “was not looking for a partner; he was looking for a mother.” Odom commented on a post about the Khloe/Tristan news yesterday, saying his ex-wife “deserved the world” and expressing his desire to reconnect with her.  As for the resurfaced Taraji interview, Odom went directly to his IG to let tabloids know he’s not feeling the negativity. “I see the tabloids are clout chasing to gain followers its 2022 cut the games!” he said in the image.  Over in his caption, he continued, saying, “@theshaderoom @tvonetv @uncensoredtvone WHY is an interview from 2019 being shown and played? Where are my royalties since it seems as if I am in syndication 🥺”

Odom then tagged Taraji P Henson directly and apologized, saying, “@@tarajiphenson nothing but love ❤️ for you always. Let’s not feed the masses.” In the rest of his caption, Odom compared social media to “addiction” and says that everyone has become addicted to fake news, gossip and lies.  Over on her own page, Henson seems to be aware of the drama and not interested. She re-shared a post in her story from rapper Jadakiss saying, “energy is expensive we not giving that out for free this year,” with a giant megaphone emoji over it.
