Nia Long Focused On Her Bag While People Debate Whether She Should Leave Fiance, Secures First Role Since Allegations

Nia Long is getting back to business. The busy actress and mother took a break from the spotlight to focus on her family following her husband Ime Udoka’s cheating scandal. It’s been a tough few weeks for her, and everyone’s been trying to comfort and support her through this time. She’s expressed her gratitude to fans and is ready to give them her best work yet, according to her latest IG post. 

Nia Long has been keeping busy in recent years. According to her IMDB, she’s got several projects completed and in post-production for 2023 including The Best Man: The Final Chapters, You People, and Search 2. Work took a pause momentarily as she understandably wanted to take time to focus on her home life and sons Massai Zhivago Dorsey II and Kez Sunday Udoka. She took time to pose it up with them in her post-scandal post last week, captioning the photo with a heart emoji. 

Fans have been rallying behind Long, even trying to pair her with new men in anticipation that she might be leaving Ume following his infidelity. Cam’ron shot his shot last week, and fans are forever trying to get her with Larenz Tate, who is very much happily married. She still thanked them for all the love, especially the black women who have stayed in her corner. “My warrior QUEENS always show up. I love you. ❤️” she said in a post from earlier this week. 

Yesterday, she took to her IG to let fans know that she is taking all the love and support back with her to set. “Can’t wait for y’all to see this one 😘,” she captioned an image of her in her dressing room with her feet kicked up. Fans could not contain their excitement and jumped into the comments with speculation on what she might be shooting. “Yes, it is Love Jones 2!?” asked one. Another wondered if it is from The Best Man series. 

Nia Long is currently filming Possum TrotAccording to IMDB, it’s about “2 families from a rural black church in the small East Texas town of Possum Trot adopt 77 of the most difficult to place kids in the foster system.”
