Plies Refuse To Spend Money On Lavish Valentine’s Day Flowers and Balloons: “I Either Love You or I Don’t”

Valentine’s day is still in full bloom as many of our favorite celebrities are still posting about their special someone and the gifts they exchanged this year. While many went for the big extravagant displays, rapper Plies took to his Twitter to remind people that the only present that really matters is love. In a post from February 15th, Plies explained that all the gift-giving means nothing because gifts get old quickly.

The fans flooded his comments in agreement. One saying, “True loves starts with God… because in His hands is your future and Destiny because He is your creator I know and believe there is no End to what’s Real or True. love is truly an action anyone can say I Love you all day every day but what is the action behind one’s words.”

Well, for a lot of people, their actions came with a hefty price tag for all the world to see. While Plies is looking to spread the love this Valentine’s Day, some of his celebrity friends are spreading cash on some expensive gifts. Chloe Bailey recently went public with her new boo Gunna. Their pair have been slowly letting people in on their romance, which apparently featured a room full of flowers and balloons for Valentine’s Day. Chloe posted a video of her walking through a room decked in pink, white and red flowers with a gift bag from Chanel and several other boxes prominently displayed. One fan said in the comments section, “Oh they together TOGETHER.”

Moneybagg Yo had an entire room covered in red rose petals that reportedly cost about $50k. It took a team of 5 about 3 hours to place all the petals and balloons for his girl Ari Fletcher. Over 400 roses were used to achieve the Valentine effect he was going for. Ari shared an image of it on her social media, saying, “drowning in euphoria.”

Even though they are divorced, Kanye West still sent his ex-wife Kim Kardashian a truckload of flowers on Valentine’s Day in hopes of winning her back. Unfortunately, it seems the family only cared about gifts from her new boyfriend, Pete. Sister Khloe posted a bouquet of flowers he sent her with a thank you.

One couple who might have been taking Plies’ advice is Miguel and Nazanin Mandi. The married couple split not too long ago, but it looks like love brought them back together just in time for Valentine’s Day. They shared a series of snaps smiling and holding hands, celebrating their reunion. No gifts or flowers present, just the happy pair ready to step into the next chapter of their relationship. So who had the best Valentine’s Day? And is it really all about the gifts, or can it really all just be as simple as showing the one you love some affection?
