Reality Star Blac Chyna The Latest Female Celebrity To Go Completely Bald

Women are reclaiming their bodies and their beauty in dazzling new ways through the modern era. While many are owning their right to body modifications and transformations aimed toward creating their ideal image, others are going to great lengths to embrace their natural beauty and features. A growing trend amongst some of our favorite celebrities has been shaving their heads bald. The latest girl to hop on board is social media and reality star, Blac Chyna.

A woman’s relationship with her hair can be very complicated, especially for those adjacent to the beauty and entertainment industries. For some, this is made even harder by health issues affecting their hair growth. Jada Pinkett Smith and her bald head caused for a lot of commotion earlier this year when Chris Rock poked fun of her at the Academy Awards. Jada has always been known for her short haircuts, buzzing her head completely in the film Set It Off.

However, her battle with alopecia forced her to part with her hair completely in recent years. Jada has done her best to spotlight the disease and help other women embrace shorter hair. Her daughter Willow Smith has experimented with a bald head over the years and decided to join her mom in solidarity recently.  For other women; it’s more about aesthetics. Amber Rose has been the poster child for bald heads since making her video vixen debut back in the late ’00s.

Since then, she’s experimented with wigs but has always kept her do short and close to the scalp.  Doja Cat recently joined the elite group of bald women. The “Say So” hitmaker made the big chop after admitting to always being uncomfortable with long hair and hating wigs. While some fans alleged that she was having some type of mental breakdown, Doja killed the noise by painting her head different colors and stepping out in a series of daring looks for this year’s New York fashion week. One look was a series of white lines painted across her head, giving the illusion of spots.

Rapper Azealia Banks used to go by Yung Rapunzel, a name inspired by the long wigs she often wears. However, at the height of the pandemic, the “212” hitmaker decided to shave her head on social media for a fresh start. Azealia claimed that her hair was holding a lot of bad energy from over the years, and a fresh cut was what she needed to set herself free. She also said COVID had scared her away from hair salons. “The way these coronavirus cases are going around, I’m very scared to have someone take care of my natural hair,” the rapper explained to her followers. “I’m going to keep a baldie and I’m going to rock my wigs.”

There are several women who opted for big chops following some traumatic or challenging times. Britney Spears famously shaved her head bald during her 2007 meltdown. She later confessed that her family was trying to test her hair for drugs so she cut it all off so they could not drug test her.  When Erykah Badu went bald in 2001, she claims it was more of an impulse than anything else. “I didn’t give a lot of thought to it,” she said. “It was just something that I knew I wanted to do right now. I wanted to do something brave, to just make room for new things.”

Blac Chyna is fresh off the reveal that she is the highest-paid influencer on OnlyFans. That means she can afford a lot of wigs. Maybe that is why Chyna was not afraid to go for the big chop as well and recently revealed her bald head.  Chyna took to social media to show off her new cut in a video. In her caption, she explained, “Anyone can be confident with a full head of hair. But a confident bald woman – there’s your diamond in the rough. 🏆” Fans loved the new look on her and flocked to the comments section to let her know how beautiful she looked. “Chy don’t play, your face card will never get declined,” said one fan. “That’s the next level look!.. for sure! 😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 keep on stunning.”  What do you think about Chyna’s new haircut?
