TJ Holmes Admits He Doesn’t Deserve His Wife: “If She Puts Up w/ Me Another 10 days, I’d Be Lucky” In Reurfaced Post

Good Morning America news anchors TJ Holmes, and Amy Robach are still reeling from the photos leaking of them getting cozy. The co-hosts have been on the show together since 2014 and have grown very close. It appears they’re too close despite both being in marriages for years. As we await a statement from either party, people have been busy digging up old interviews and discussions to see if the affair has been in plain sight all this time.

Amy Robach confessed to being really excited when TJ Holmes joined her on GMA. She told news outlets in 2014 that she was a fan and could not have asked for a better co-host. She revealed that they had been planning on collaborating for over five years. Eventually, the two ran a marathon together, and it is reported that that’s when the affair began. Amy seems to have already been ending things with her husband, actor Andrew Shue. They had closed on the sale of their New York apartment a week before the pictures with TJ hit the net.

TJ, on the other hand, has been very vocal about his wife for years and, on several occasions, confessed to not feeling worthy of her. He wrote an open letter to his wife, Marilee Fiebig, four years into their marriage that was published in The Root. In it, he opened up about not knowing why the marriage was working and being uncomfortable with how well things were going. TJ went on to say that “It’s funny that when a man hasn’t anything in the world to worry about, he goes off and gets married.” He said he wondered why he decided to settle at the time he did, especially since he was single and living in Atlanta, a place he described as “happy hunting for a single guy.”

For their 10th years anniversary, TJ did another similar post where he praised his wife and wondered out loud what she was doing with him. In a Facebook post from March of 2020, he confessed that he was not the best husband and gave her plenty of reasons to go. “10 years ago, Marilee Fiebig married me. And despite my best efforts, she remained married to me the past ten years.” He continued, “That’s not hyperbole. I’m not being dramatic. I gave her plenty of reasons, excuses, and opportunities to walk her fine a** out the door.”

He went on, calling her grace and patience a “built-in black woman superpower.” He claimed that asking her for another ten years would be “too much” and that another ten months would “be a stretch.” “If she gave me another ten weeks, I should consider myself lucky.” The post does not sit well with people because it seems like he is openly admitting to being a bad husband and her staying with him is a “built-in black woman” trait. Fans in the comments agreed that the post did not age well and said, “This reads that he’s been cheating on her and doing foul s***,” said one person.
